Once we've gathered the financial information, we'll start creating marketing documents.  They will be designed to catch the attention of potential buyers without giving the identity of the business away. The buyer will need to sign a confidentiality agreement and provide information on their qualifications before they can review the details of the company. If they are interested in proceeding further, we'll usually set up a phone call or meeting with you to answer any questions and give both buyer and seller a chance to see if they both want to move forward. If so, the next step would be an offer from the buyer. We often get multiple offers that allow us to get the best price and terms for you.

We have a database of over 25,000 potential buyers, and we'll need to narrow down the right ones for your business. The M&A process unfolds over time. We usually introduce a qualified buyer to you within 1-8 weeks. It's ordinarily 1-6 buyers that we present to close a deal. On average, it takes 6 to 12 months to sell a business, but we've sold some companies in a couple of months.
